The short diagnosis: if your audio and video start perfectly synced but drift apart the longer a recording runs, this is almost never a random glitch — it’s a specific, well-understood technical mismatch between your video frame rate and your audio sample rate, and it has three real fixes.

What’s actually happening

Video records at a target frame rate — say, 30fps. Audio records at a sample rate, typically 44.1kHz or 48kHz. When these two clocks aren’t perfectly synchronized at the hardware or software level, tiny discrepancies accumulate over time.
