Apowersoft, like about half the vendors covered on this site at this point, sells more than one product with overlapping naming. This one’s the screenshot-focused sibling to the video-focused Apowersoft Screen Recorder Pro already reviewed — same company, different core job.
The short version: if you clicked through expecting a video recorder, you want the Screen Recorder Pro review instead. This one’s about capturing and annotating still images — and it does that competently, without much that distinguishes it from four other tools in the same price range.
What it actually does

- Basic annotation — arrows, text, highlighting, blur
- Direct output to clipboard, file, or a few sharing destinations
- Batch capture for grabbing multiple screenshots in sequence without reopening the app each time

⚠️ What actually breaks:
The batch capture feature is genuinely useful but not well surfaced in the interface — I missed it entirely the first time I used this software, assuming (incorrectly) it only supported one screenshot at a time. Check the toolbar carefully; it’s there, just not where you’d expect.

Screenpresso does this same core job faster, with a better hotkey-to-editor workflow. Snagit does it with genuinely deeper templates, at a higher price that’s justified for team documentation work. Who actually ends up buying this
Mostly, in my experience: people who already own Apowersoft’s video recorder and want a screenshot tool without evaluating a whole separate vendor. That’s a reasonable enough reason, but it’s not a case for choosing this over Screenpresso if you’re starting from scratch.
